Summer has officially ended. As the weather cools and days get shorter, we can console ourselves with these new, hot GBWs.

Rutina Wesley plays Tara Thornton on HBO’s “True Blood” with Anna Paquin and Ryan Kwanten.

Niecy Nash plays Rhonda on the new show “Do Not Disturb.” Her co-stars are Jerry O’Connell and Liz Burnette.

Kortu Momolu is a contestant on “Project Runway.” The Liberian designer-dancer-braider-make up artist-wife-yummy mummy is a favorite for good reason.

Tyra Banks’ “America’s Next Top Model” is back. This season’s GBW contestants are:

Brittany Rubalcaba is a 19-year old bright-eyed Nevadan. She was eliminated for this “uninspired” swimsuit shoot though we think she looks divine.

Isis King aka Isis Tsunami is a 22 year old model from Maryland. A transgender woman, she appeared in MSNBC’s documentary “Born Into the Wrong Body” and stole the show during a Season 10 shoot in which she posed in the background as a homeless person.

Joslyn Pennywell is a 23 year old model from Lucky, Louisiana. She makes unemployment –her theme for the photo below and an issue with which more and more people are becoming acquainted– look oh so glamorous.

Nikeysha Clarke is a beauty from the Bronx. She was the second to be eliminated for an unwillingness to accept criticism. With thicker skin, success will follow.

Brittney “ShaRaun” Brown is an 18 year old sacrificed her senior prom and high school graduation for the show. Though she was eliminated first, we hope her investment pays off.
