Venus Williams is a pro tennis player, Olympic gold medalist and the reigning Wimbledon singles and doubles champion. In addition to winning 16 Grand Slams, she has rallied for equal pay in the French Open and Wimbledon and earned the support of Tony Blair and Parliament. In 2007, she became the first to benefit from her campaign for equal pay; she won at Wimbledon and earned the same pay as men’s winner Roger Federer.
She graduated with honors from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. She is an interior decorator and owner of V Starr Interiors. She also designed the line EleVen for retailer Steve & Barry’s. She is engaged to pro-golfer Frank Kuehne.
