Danai Gurira is a talented actress. She starred in The Visitor with Haaz Sleiman, which focuses on a romance between the two as well as the treatment of immigrants in post 9/11 America. She will appear Ghost Town with Téa Leoni and Greg Kinnear, Wes Craven’s 25/8 with Denzel Whitaker (son of Forest) and Shareeka Epps as well as Nurse Jackie with Edie Falco and Haaz Sleiman.
She co-wrote and co-starred in In the Continuum with Nikkole Salter; the play focuses on the lives of two women living with AIDS, Danai’s character in Harare, Zimbabwe and Nikkole’s in South Central Los Angeles, California.
