Kimora Lee Perkins Simmons is a glamazon. At the age of 10, the then-geek was enrolled in modeling classes to help her self-esteem. She went from being called “chinky nigger” and “chinky giraffe” in St. Louis to strutting her stuff for Chanel in Paris at the age of 13.
With now ex-husband music mogul Russell Simmons, she has two daughters: Aoki and Ming Lee, both budding model-designer divas as we can see on Life in the Fab Lane. In addition, she expanded his company Phat Farm by designing a successful women’s line Baby Phat. She is now President and Creative Director for Phat Fashions. She’s the author of the successful self-help/improvement book Fabulosity and is often featured on America’s Next Top Model with close friend Tyra Banks. She is in a committed relationship with Beninois actor-model-heartthrob Djimon Hounsou.
